Dr. Pelser has been practicing medicine since 2013 and has worked in several hospitals around Cape Town, tackling everything from trauma cases to surgical and medical challenges. She’s not only skilled in these areas but also has experience in psychiatry and emergency medicine, having earned diplomas in each. 

 

Currently, Dr. Pelser works as a general practitioner and manages a travel clinic in Sea Point, Cape Town, where she helps patients prepare for their adventures. After spending five years as a cruise ship doctor, she combined her love for travel with her medical career. Outside of work, Dr. Pelser is passionate about travel, health and fitness. Dr Pelser has a strong interest in managing skin disorders and travel medicine. She’s completed a Travel Medicine course and is currently diving into an Aesthetic Medicine course to expand her skills even further.

 

With her diverse experience and ongoing learning, Dr. Pelser is dedicated to providing top-notch care across various medical fields.​​​

Dr Vd Westhuizen grew up in Wellington and completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Stellenbosch. 

 

After his studies Dr Vd Westhuizen moved on to do his internship at the Frere and Cecelia Makiwane Hospital complex in East London, and then to Kimberley for his community service. There he worked in Anaesthetics and Psychiatry and completed his Diploma in Anaesthetics while there. 

 

Dr Vd Westhuizen moved to Cape Town in 2014 and worked as an emergency care doctor in the private healthcare sector.

 

Dr Vd Westhuizen has also worked alongside the South African Police Service (SAPS) since 2017, as the official doctor to the trainee cadets at the Bishop Lavis Police College. Last year the SAPS awarded him a serve award for his commitment to their healthcare. 

 

Dr Vd Westhuizen has a passion for family healthcare and the emerging field of longevity medicine, focusing on optimising health span and lifespan using leading evidence based improvements in lifestyle and prevention of chronic and dreaded diseases. 

​Dr Frith grew up in Cape Town and studied at Stellenbosch University. After managing an emergency room in Durban for three years, Dr Frith moved back to Cape Town in 2016 and began working as a GP in private practice.

 

He is passionate about holistic care of patients, treating not only the biological, but also psychological and social aspects that contribute to one’s health.

 

Other interests include helping patients with their mental health, including long term counselling for depression, anxiety, trauma, crisis situations, adhd etc.

 

Dr Frith is also qualified as a medical practitioner in Belgium.
